Julius has over 16 years of Kenyan experience in the energy sector. He has provided legal advisory services to developers of thermal, wind, solar, mini-hydro, bio mass and waste to energy power projects; clients involved in the provision of off-grid solar power solutions to rural communities, property developments and industrial consumers; to persons looking to finance renewable energy power projects; to persons looking to acquire or dispose of interests in power projects in operation; regulatory, fiscal and general investments advices to investors proposing to participate in energy infrastructure projects in Kenya (including renewable energy projects and those on private initiated investment proposal basis or procured public private partnership basis). Through these assignments he has developed an extensive understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of and issues arising in the energy infrastructure sector. Julius is the lead author of the Kenya Chapter of Renewable Energy and Regulation, a CMS Expert Guide on Renewable Energy and Regulation around the globe.
