HSSE OPERATIONS ENGINEER
I am an experienced Chemical Engineer, with years of expertise in Petroleum Marketing Engineering, Provision of HSSE services for Petroleum Products and Projects, Fuel Transport and Trucks Management (BRVS), Warehousing and Tank Farm Management, and Environmental Standard enforcement and compliance Audit. Audit processes and ensure operational conformance to ISO Standards of 9001:2015(QMS) and 14001:2015(EMS).
I had years of experience in project management: over saw the construction of structures and provided services as a Lead Project Engineer.
I have OSHA MS certification but NEBOSH certification pending.
I have an enviable team work record with both local and international industry experts within Ghana and Abroad. I had a career performance boosting industrial training under the supervision of Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Germany. I was the Ghana coordinator for the North-South Partnership between University of Applied Sciences and the City of Larti-Finland and Ho Technical University and the City of Ho-Ghana. I was a valuable team member during the drafting of the national permitting Guideline for permitting in Ghana and also partnered with the Connective Cities to deliver a presentation in Nairobi-Kenya on the involvement of Community Base Organizations in solid waste management. My research works continually contribute to update the Standard Operating Procedures of the Ghana Oil Company Limited and the Climate Change Activities of the Bremen Mission –Germany.
1. HSSE Engineer-Ghana Oil Company Limited
(Middle Belt Zones, Kumasi-jan.2018 to May.2021)
• Lead HSSEQ Engineer for the Middle Belt Zones
• Ensure Fuels dispatch to all service stations are tested, aditivated and marked.
• HAZOP Study, Audit, Industrial Hygiene, Accident Investigation and root cause analysis.
• Provision of HSE at all construction sites.
• Ensure all process conform to ISO Standards of 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 and company SOPs.
• Ensure fire safety protocol at all Depots and Service stations.
• Ensure all persons are in PPEs and sites are safe.
• Ensure Customer service, maintenance and Accident records are maintained.
• Ensure there is permit for all projects and businesses.
• Train all staff on SOPs, Fire Systems and Functions, Organize Drills,
• Ensure company Operating process is understood by all staff.
• Ensure NDT, Calibration, motion detectors, encasing of cash safes, etc is timely done
• Lead internal ISO Audit and supervise the external audit by foreign certification team
Train all staff in areas of Fire Safety, Robbery, Product Spillage, Company SOPs,
• Quality and EMS processes.
2. Fuels Marketing Engineer-Ghana Oil Company Limited.
(South Zone, Accra-Sept.2015 to Jan.2018)
• Marketing Operation Lead for the Trade area of 26 fuel service stations
