Melinda Gates, the wife of Bill Gates is reportedly leaving the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As part of her departure, she will receive $12.5 Billion from Bill Gates to totally cut all ties with the foundation. Following her departure, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation will change its name and be called The Bill Gates Foundation, with Bill Gates being the foundation’s sole owner and chairman. Melinda Gates is reportedly said to use the funds to start her own foundation, focusing on women’s issues and to advance gender equality programs.
