Mozilla, the company responsible for the Firefox browser is reportedly laying off 30% of its workforce, to create a more agile and impactful organization. “We find ourselves in a relentless onslaught of change in the technology world, and the idea of putting people before profit feels increasingly radical. This sometimes means saying goodbye to the excellent work that has gotten us this far because it won’t get us to the next peak”, Nabiha Syed, the foundation’s director said.
In addition to the layoffs, the company also shutdown two of its major divisions, Advocacy and Global programs.
The company reportedly had 120 employees at the time of the layoffs.
