1) Inspection Overview

Our inspection services ensure that process equipment is fabricated from proper material of construction, verify equipment is professionally installed, maintained, and replaced to prevent failures. Our personnel are qualified and certified to meet and exceed industry requirements.

 

2) Radiography

American Piping Inspection is diversifying and expanding our capabilities to meet your company’s needs no matter the size of your project. Our management team has years of experience in the field and can quickly, and accurately, assess your needs and mobilize our highly trained technicians to your location in a short amount of time.

Traditional radiography used to produce an image on film uses gamma radiation sources, most commonly iridium-192 and cobalt-60, which are used to inspect a variety of materials across an array of equipment. Most radiography concerns the testing and grading of welds on pressurized piping, pressure vessels, high-capacity storage containers, pipelines, and some structural welds.

 

3) Heat Treating

American Piping Inspection offers localized Heat-Treating Methods that increase strength and improve equipment characteristics using controlled heating and cooling of metal materials. Our experienced technicians are certified in a variety of applications and will implement the appropriate setup to increase job efficiency.

4) Pipeline Integrity

American Piping Inspection provides Pipeline Integrity services which include identification and evaluation of anomalies, validation of ILI (In-Line Inspection) tools which includes assessments of Corrosion, Dents/Deformation, Gouges, SCC (Stress Corrosion Cracking), and Long seam defects using both conventional and advanced techniques.

5) Mechanical Integrity

American Piping Inspection mechanical integrity experts are highly qualified to assist clients with the development of MI programs, modify existing programs using advanced NDT technologies, and risk-based assessments based on each facility’s unique needs. We work with you to develop a written program, implement the appropriate inspection and testing methods, and identified deficiencies. Our Mechanical Integrity group is experienced in the oil and gas industry including inspection, data management, NDT, and operations.

 

 

6) Quality Control & Auditing

American Piping Inspection offers 3rd party consulting, film auditing, and inspection services. Our ASNT Level III’s can review or set NDT procedures designed to fit your specific needs. We offer Level III field services to help our customers go forward with confidence knowing their projects are being completed correctly, with all specifications for quality, and code requirements being met. We also offer Project Management to maximize your output and keep your project on schedule and move forward to meet the deadlines of the customer. Our AWS CWI team can set procedures as well as offering in-field inspections for any project you may have.
