In late 1980, in Winter Park, FL, the founder of Blue Ribbon Corp saw the need for a reliable lift station level transmitter. This led to his inventing, patenting, and trademarking what is now known as the Blue Ribbon Corp Birdcage® Level Transmitter.

Blue Ribbon Corp was acquired by GP:50 NY Ltd. in November 2005, and continued to operate from its Florida office until March 2009, when it was decided to consolidate both companies at the GP:50 facility in Grand Island, NY. The economy was in a significant slump during 2009/2010, making it a challenging time for businesses. This move to consolidate proved economically beneficial, enabling us to successfully navigate the downturn and emerge even stronger.

Since then, Blue Ribbon Corp has continued to experience substantial growth, having expanded its product line into various markets around the world. Our high-quality gauges, thermometers, and sensors now serve a diverse range of markets, including Fluid Power, HVAC, Plumbing, MRO Supply, Mechanical, Industrial, Oil & Gas/Process, and Water/Wastewater Treatment. Over the past few years, we have achieved a consistent 5–10% annual growth, with increased market penetration in Oil & Gas, HVAC, and OEM sales.

Driven by a sharp rise in distributor representation and the addition of direct online shopping to our website, blueribboncorp.com, in October 2024, Blue Ribbon Corp has significantly expanded access to our products and strengthened our overall market presence. This sustained, rapid growth created the need for a larger facility; necessitating the expansion of our operations with increased warehouse capacity at our new location: 131 Industrial Drive, Grand Island, NY.

Our geographical reach now extends across all 50 states, as well as Mexico, Canada, Central and South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the UAE, and Australia. With continued market and product expansion, we are well on the path toward doubling our size; momentum that began just a few short years ago and continues to accelerate.
