The group was established in 2012. With the rapid development of its business, in 2019, China Shipping Anchor Chain (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. was established in Taixing, Jiangsu Province. In 2022, the group headquarters was moved to Suqian, Jiangsu Province, and officially established China Shipping Marine Equipment (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd.

Currently, CSAC has three major customer service centers in Shanghai, Qingdao and Singapore, and two automated production plant in Jiangsu, equipped with 30 fully automatic chain production lines. The total factory area is 260,000 square meters, and the annual production capacity of anchor chain, mooring chain and other chains reaches 5 million tons. Among them, the production base in Suqian, Jiangsu Province, has the world's leading single-unit production capacity for anchor chain and mooring chain.

As of December 2024, the total number of employees in the group was nearly 800. By the end of 2024, its products have obtained 12 international classification societies' certifications, including DNV, ABS, LR, KR, NK, BV, CCS, etc., and have also passed ISO9001 quality management system, ISO14001 environmental management system, ISO18001 occupational health and safety management system certifications, and weapon equipment quality management system certifications.

CSAC's ship anchor chain sales have achieved year-on-year growth of over 60% for consecutive years, with a 2024 growth rate of 87.8%. Among them, 66.8% of the products are exported to 60+ countries and regions around the world.
