About CX Energy
CX-Energy is the licensed Real Estate Broker specializing in oil and gas sales and leasing of Marcellus and Utica shale rights. The CX-Energy experience goes back to 2004 with the procurement of energy commodities in deregulated markets across the United States. CX-Energy developed markets where the energy companies would submit offers to supply CX-Energy customers’ electricity and natural gas. In 2008 one of CX-Energy’s customers, The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, was trying to negotiate an oil & gas lease for a 1,700 acre parcel and they were unsuccessful. The Municipal Authority asked CX-Energy to apply their energy expertise, technology, and marketing to help them achieve a fair and equitable oil & gas lease. That initial project was a huge success. CX-Energy then divested of its Energy Commodity Procurement business and turned its attention to the leasing of oil and gas rights.
Wanting to achieve the best value for landowners and oil and gas companies alike, CX-Energy joined forces with Morascyzk and Polochak, Attorneys at Law. Attorneys Morascyzk and Polochak started representing landowners during the early stages of the Marcellus Shale gas boom, in Washington County, Pennsylvania, by negotiating leases for family and clients. The team has extensive experience with leases, right of ways, litigation, title examination, and ancillary service ventures.
For the past several years, CX-Energy and Morascyzk and Polochak, Attorneys at Law have traveled around educating landowners and organizing blocks of committed acres that are ready to lease. They then market the acreage to oil and gas companies interested in leasing oil and gas rights. Uniquely, CX-Energy and Morascyzk and Polochak, Attorneys at Law are able to leverage expertise and technology in order to facilitate the best possible deal for both parties while addressing responsible surface activity and land use, environmental protections, clearly defined production clauses, and other provisions. In 2013, as the energy market matured in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, CX-Energy at the request of past customers and clients began brokering oil and gas sales. Today, we have over 100 listings for sale.

Oil, Gas and Mineral Sales:
- Landowners: Our experienced team will teach you about the process of buying and selling oil and gas rights and what your oil and gas rights are worth on the open market. We will educate you on how to find the right opportunities to sell your oil and gas rights for the right price and the right terms.
- Buyers: If you are actively looking to purchase oil, gas and minerals in a specific area, we can create a buyer profile so you are notified the moment we have a new property available for purchase in your buy area. When you deal with CX-Energy you deal direct with our sellers – no uncertain option contracts or layers of middle-men – and CX-Energy will provide maps, lease copies and other information that you will need to price a property.
