Description of Services
a) Combined PET
We are the world’s leading PET manufacturer and recycler with sustainability at our core. Together, our resins, packaging, recycling, and specialty chemicals businesses serve customers making daily consumer necessities in diverse global markets including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and personal care, technical polymers, and other industries.
Our global, regional, and local customers have, for three decades, relied on our unmatched global footprint of 63 PET manufacturing and recycling locations in 26 countries to deliver competitive, high-quality, and sustainable PET solutions whenever and wherever needed.
Combined PET (CPET), the largest and oldest of Indorama Ventures’ three segments, plays a foundational role in the company’s global integrated business model. It receives EO (ethylene oxide) from our Indovinya segment which it then uses as a key ingredient to make PET plastic. CPET also supplies virgin PET and recycled PET to the company’s Fibers segment to produce high-quality polyester yarns and fibers.
Integrated PET
With our global footprint spanning Asia, EMEA, and the Americas, we have nearly three decades of expertise servicing some of the world’s largest household brands with the highest quality virgin PET and related products.
We are proud to supply our partners with fully recyclable and high-quality PET products used to make daily necessities easier, safer, and more convenient.
Packaging
We produce PET preforms, bottles, and closures used in safe, efficient, and durable food and beverages packaging and other consumer applications.
We collaborate with our partners to develop innovative packaging solutions that are strong, safe, shatterproof, and recyclable.
Recycling
We are the world’s largest producer of recycled PET resin used in beverage bottles. In 2023, we reached the milestone of recycling 100 billion used PET bottles.
Under our Vision 2030 we are investing $1.5 billion to expand our recycling capacity and educate 1 million consumers worldwide about effective waste management. We are also partnering with our customers to support their circularity goals.
Specialty chemicals
The Specialty Chemicals business has a diversified product portfolio covering PET, PIA, and NDC.
Our Specialty Polymers business focuses on the production of high-quality polymers used across many industries and applications.
Our PIA (purified isophthalic acid) is used to make PET, unsaturated polyester resins, coatings, fibers, and other applications.
Our NDC (naphthalene) is used in optical displays and other industrial applications.
Intermediate chemicals
Our Intermediate Chemicals locations in the U.S. are well-positioned to leverage feedstocks from the competitive shale gas industry. Our product line includes ethylene, high-purity ethylene oxide (HPEO), and ethylene glycol derivatives (MEG, DEG, and TEG).
The product family derived from ethylene serves various markets including PET, packaging, textiles, fibers, anti-freeze, agricultural chemicals, oil and gas, housing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, detergents, and personal care.
We also produce MTBE from methanol and isobutane. MTBE serves as an octane enhancer in gasoline for automobiles.
b) Indovinya
We produce specialty chemical solutions for diverse regional and global markets, including home and personal care, crop solutions, coatings, and energy and resources. Our sustainable and innovative chemistry improves millions of lives every day.
By prioritizing the needs of our customers and fostering collaboration, we aim to transform our operations and products into something increasingly relevant for the planet, ensuring quality and responsibility in all we do.
Indovinya has a pivotal role in Indorama Ventures’ global integrated business model. We supply EO (ethylene oxide) to our Combined PET business, which is used as a key ingredient to make PET.
