Welcome to the home for mechanical integrity and reliability knowledge.
About Inspectioneering
Our mission is to provide the petroleum and process industries with world class Asset Integrity Management (AIM) information by facilitating expert knowledge sharing. We are motivated by the belief that increased AIM intelligence can help improve organizational efficiency, increase equipment reliability, protect workers and the environment, and in the end, lead to a more successful business enterprise.
We realize that we cannot achieve this mission without first establishing trust, which we strive to build by:
- adhering to strict editorial principles that prohibit us from publishing content that is overly commercial or biased in nature,
- cultivating a network of industry subject matter experts that have proactive stances regarding asset integrity management, and
- connecting our community of owner-users/operators with reputable suppliers, service companies, and consultants.
We don't dabble. Asset Integrity Management is all we do.
While there are numerous definitions of AIM, ours is very simple; we define AIM as the cradle-to-grave approach to understanding and operating equipment in a safe, reliable manner. AIM does not apply merely to aging infrastructure; instead, it considers all stages of the equipment life cycle, from conception, to engineering and design, construction, operation, inspection, and finally to repair/replacement when necessary. A strong AIM program will "pay dividends" in a multitude of ways.
Inspectioneering Journal has been in publication since 1995. For over 25 years we have provided content that is:
- both technical and practical,
- based on case studies,
- exploratory of new methods and technologies, and
- reliant on the real world experience of our authors.
Our authors, editors, and contributors understand the industries we serve because they have dedicated their careers to AIM for decades.
