Stage level flow profiling

FloTrac™ ultrahigh-resolution nanoparticle tracers are especially unique in that precise flow mapping at the stage level is now available to companies of all sizes. Until FloTrac, flow profiles at the stage level was accessible only to those with the resources to employ production logging tools, permanent and retrievable fiber optic-enabled distributed temperature surveys, distributed acoustic sensing and other extremely expensive and invasive diagnostics. In hundreds of multi-stage horizontal wells, FloTrac proved its capacity to quickly and very precisely identify non-producing or minimally producing stages and critical inter-well communication events, giving you all the insight required to make timely decisions and avoid otherwise unnecessary costs and optimize your production stream.

 

a). Lateral placement

Concurrent with stage-level flow profiling, QuantumPro analytics allow you to clearly visualize where your lateral or vertical placement falls in relation to the most productive zone for each well. The wealth of post-frac performance data for each well we provide can be used to expeditiously tweak your existing design or guide your subsequent field development strategy by shaping optimal lateral placement, lateral length and stage spacing. b). Frac hit mitigation

With the OmniTrac™ universal wellbore flow tracer, we combined the diagnostic power of FloTrac with advanced metallurgy to provide a unique and non-intrusive way to assess and measure your well's production, from the bottom up. OmniTrac is, indeed, universal and applicable to any oil, gas, geothermal or water well; newly completed or legacy producing wells; horizontal or vertical; onshore or offshore.

The uniqueness of OmniTrac lies in its delivesry mechanism, which can be likened to the medicine capsule your doctor prescribes. In this case, the capsule is a highly engineered and precisely machined dissolvable alloy ball packed with distinctively tagged FloTrac ultrahigh-resolution nanoparticle tracers.

Once dropped or pumped to the bottom or end of the well, the ball, which maintains stability in up to 7,500 psi pressure, dissolves upon interacting with freshwater, brine, frac fluid or production fluids. This effectively disperses the FloTrac tracers, which return to surface with the production stream, in the same manner as when monitoring flow behavior in a fraced well.

 

Easily deployed with no modifications

Easily deployed with no modifications OmniTrac requires no subsurface or surface modifications. In vertical wellbores, a QuantumPro technician simply drops a ball into the wellbore where gravity takes it to bottom. In horizontal wells, a single ball is pumped to the toe of the lateral with pump-down or frac equipment, where it maintains integrity under the high-pressure pumping environment. The PerfTrac™ perforation flow efficiency tracer brings the robustness and diagnostic power of FloTrac to a more granular level by providing unprecedented insight into the flow assurance of perforation holes after the stimulation program. PerfTrac enables you to assess the flow profile of the perforation that corresponds directly to the quality of the completion program and reservoir performance you are preparing to develop. Through an exclusive partnership with a leading perforation charge manufacturing company, the inert nanoparticle tracers are pre-packed in the perforation charges when they arrive at the wellsite, thus requiring no onsite preparation or special handling.

The perforation guns look and operate exactly as they do without the small tracer concentrations efficiently embedded in the charge liner, which are dispersed directly into the formation upon detonation. For the operator, PerfTrac represents a risk-free mechanism to assess perforation flow performance and identify any inter-well communication. The execution and outcome of the perforation are indistinguishable from one that does not include the nanoparticle tracers. Most operators accept a degree of uncertainty regarding the accuracy of their downhole production assumptions, missing critical insights into reservoir performance, flow characteristics, and production performance. With SoluTrac dissolvable inserts for downhole tracer deployments, you can now acquire discrete production performance data that is more precise, useful, and cost-effective than traditional methods, and without the need for special handling or complicated deployment. 

FloTrac: Precision nanoparticle tracers for unmatched production flow performance insight

The SoluTrac™ tracer solution leverages a portfolio of over 220 unique FloTrac ultra-high-resolution and ultra-high-temperature nanoparticle tracers. Unlike conventional chemical tracers, every FloTrac nanoparticle tracer is compatible with both water and oil, meaning you need only a single tracer composition for both water and oil flow mapping, regardless of the fluid stream, reducing costs considerably. FloTrac tracers maintain stability in temperatures up to 2,000 deg. F and downhole pressure up to 10,000 psi.

SoluTrac delivers section level production flow profiling for up to ten months

SoluTrac features dissolvable rod inserts containing FloTrac nanoparticles tracers, sized and shipped to the well sand screen manufacturer where the rods are arranged in a circular pattern around the inside of the screen. Once deployed, each sand screen is identified by the specific nanoparticle tracer rods it contains.

As production flow passes over the rod inserts, the nanoparticle tracers are slowly released. Depending on the needs, dissolution times can be configured to last for up to ten months. Upon release, the tracers are carried to the surface with production for periodic sampling and analysis by QuantumPro experts who pin-point the sources and relative volumes of production flow to total production to deliver a production profile of the well.
