About Ridgeway Kite
Ridgeway Kite is a software company that was formed in 2013 to develop a new reservoir simulator for the oil and gas industry. The aim has been to take new approaches that improve workflows addressing inefficiency and gaps in current simulators.
6X has been developed by our team of highly experienced reservoir engineering and IT professionals. The simulator draws on their collective experience incorporating improvements the industry was looking for in a new generation of simulator. They have harnessed advances in modern computing hardware that deliver massively increased performance. This has been coupled with their reservoir simulator expertise to develop capabilities and workflows to improve the quality of reservoir simulation.
The company principals have a long track record in reservoir simulator development and reservoir engineering, having previously worked for SSI, Sohio, ECL, Intera and Schlumberger. Tommy Miller and Garf Bowen, based in the UK, were key members of the ECLIPSE software development team, helping to establish ECLIPSE as the market leading simulator and industry standard.
