Sioux equipment is engineered and manufactured with the best available materials and quality craftsmanship. To ensure the longevity and peak performance of your equipment, keep in mind the following:
- Refer to your product manual for correct setup, maintenance schedules, and basic troubleshooting.
- Always use qualified electricians and HVAC personnel for installation and troubleshooting of electrical connections, fuel supply, and exhaust components.
- Attention to regular preventative maintenance procedures can keep your equipment in top working order.
- If operating under extreme conditions and environments, the frequency of the maintenance schedules may need to be increased.
- Water quality varies greatly in different parts of the world. All water heating and hot water cleaning equipment is subject to lime scale buildup which can clog nozzles, reduce heating efficiency, and shorten the life of your machine. Sioux can provide you with scale prevention products to inhibit scale buildup or descaler to remove scale in equipment with existing scale buildup.
- A byproduct of fuel fired combustion is condensation. Some water heaters may have a small drip of water from the condensation. This condensation drip is normal and does not mean the water heater coil is leaking.
- If your equipment will be taken out of service for an extended period, please follow all shut down procedures in the product manual. If machines will be exposed to freezing temperatures during storage, they must be winterized to prevent future leaks in coils and the complete failure of other components.
