Founded in 2014, Tachyus is a leader in operational optimization for the oil and gas industry. Aqueon, our waterflood modeling and optimization platform, powered by our proprietary engine Data Physics, has increased production and reduced costs and GHG emissions for operators worldwide. We also recently extended Aqueon for CO2 EOR optimization and is already being used by major operators in the US.
In early 2022, Tachyus entered the ESG space with Aurion, a fully integrated software platform that helps GHG intensive industries like oil and gas estimate, forecast, optimize and report GHG emissions and intensity. Since then, we have rapidly established ourselves as a leader in this space with over 20 clients in the US, Middle East and Latin America.

Description of Services
Tachyus helps operators in the oil and gas industry to optimize their operations and reduce carbon emissions. Our proprietary models combine data, machine learning and physics to build very reliable models that are orders or magnitude faster than traditional physics based models. These models can be used to continuously optimize reservoir management decisions and perform what-if analysis in minutes to understand the impact of different operational decisions.
Aurion, our GHG emissions management platform, enables oil and gas and other industries to account, monitor, forecast and report GHG emissions to regulatory agencies. Aurion integrates with any data source to fully streamline the GHG emissions management process, enabling companies large and small to monitor GHG emissions on a daily basis, and understand the impact of future operational decisions on GHG emissions to help with their Net-Zero goals.

The Technology Behind Fraceon
In traditional reservoir management, various types of predictive models have been applied over the years for quantitative decision making. Such models range from the very simple analytical models (type-curves, etc.) to the very complex reservoir simulation models. Simulation models attempt to model detailed behavior of reservoir physics and integrate all kinds of measured data. However, many issues such as the significant time and effort required to build and calibrate these models, computational complexity, etc. generally make their practical application difficult.
Tachyus’ Data Physics is the amalgamation of the state-of-the-art in machine learning and reservoir physics. These models can be created as efficiently as machine learning models, integrate all kinds of data, and can be evaluated orders of magnitude faster than full scale simulation models, and since they reservoir physics, they have long term predictive capacity and provide physically realistic results. Data Physics based Fraceon combines many well known machine learning models like Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, etc. with semi-analytical and numerical well and pad models. Users can go from data preparation and modeling to decisions in a matter of days.
