All your well data in one place. Save time, money, effort - and the headache of finding and cleaning up data.
About WellDrive
WellDrive connects Operators, Service Companies and Partners in a way no other solution ever has, to put all your well files at your fingertips, for easy search and sharing.
WellDrive’s mission is to put the right files in the right hands at the right time.
We do this by proactively working with the people who generate data files, capture them when they are created, validate them, and distribute them to the people that need them ASAP. We store everything in our easy-to-use full-featured platform so when you need them later, they will be easy to find. It all adds up spending minutes to get your data instead of hours.
Unrivaled Service
WellDrive goes above and beyond other systems that may be used for storing well files. We are not just some other passive data system that allows anyone to put anything anywhere. We are purpose-built for oil and gas and have oil and gas people in our operations group and management team. We know where data files come from, what they should be, and who needs them. Each client has an operations lead who knows what is going on in his or her client’s operations and when to expect files. If they don’t come in on time, they track them down from the service company and get them. And when you need a little help, our operations team is available 24/7/365. No answering service, just great personal service.
Our Experience
WellDrive was created to solve the problem of multiple people in oil and gas companies and their service companies needing access to big files quickly. Over the years, we have listened to our clients, who told us what they needed to develop the WellDrive platform into the feature-rich yet simple system it is today.
The WellDrive management and operations teams are built on oil and gas experts—engineers, geotechnical experts, and former service company personnel. We combine that with our cutting-edge development and data science team to bring you the most advanced well file management system available to the oil and gas industry.

Description of Services
Reduce your time searching for well files from two hours to two minutes
Let WellDrive take control of your document management process. WellDrive is the most advanced service that manages your unstructured Drilling and Completions well files. Combining 15 years and 40,000 wells of best practices, together with proprietary software, WellDrive ensures every file is captured, and policies are enforced. Our 24 x 7 ops team, all located in Houston, Texas, chases down your data to ensure it is complete and correct. The end result eliminates manual data entry and lost time searching for and distributing files.
CAPTURE: STOP SETTLING FOR PARTIAL DATA
Ensure consistent, reliable access to all well files 24×7 / 365 from a single location. No missing files, no empty folders.
VALIDATE: IMPROVE DATA QUALITY
Proprietary software allows the WellDrive Ops team to focus on managing data exceptions. The system flags errors in the income data, allowing a person to quickly address them.
SEARCH: FIND, SORT, AND FILTER
Quickly find the information you need with easy sort and filter options. Trust that your field data files are categorized correctly and stored in the right well folder.
DISTRIBUTE: TAKE THE HASSLE OUT OF DOCUMENT DISTRIBUTION
WellDrive manages all distribution and access for your working interest owners, land owners, mineral rights owners, financial institutions, and government agencies so you don’t have to.
Empty folders? Chasing data? There’s a better way.
Don’t use a Passive Data System, use an Actively-Managed Data System.
What we do
THE WELLDRIVE PROCESS
Complete information, when and where you need it.
After more than 15 years and 15 million files processed, we have learned that the average error or missing data rate of well file data uploads is 12% to 35%. That means at least 1 in 8 files coming from your service company ends up on the wrong well, is missing, corrupted, or in some other way flawed. We correct these errors through a rigorous process so you can spend less time looking for data and get back to being productive.
HOW MUCH IS LOST TO YOUR TEAM’S NPT?
NPT (Non-Productive Time) is a familiar stat, usually equated to equipment and production. But it drastically affects office time as well. In a recent study by a super-major operator, it was estimated that employees in oil and gas spend approximately 60% of their time looking for data. If even a fraction of this inefficiency applies to your operations team, WellDrive can help.
By validating and organizing well data as it is sent to you from the field, WellDrive virtually eliminates the time wasted sifting through emails, tracking down information from service companies when they forget to send you the well data, copying files to a shared drive, or searching for data only to come up empty-handed when it’s misfiled.
Life at WellDrive

New working interest owners? The story of the one-click data transfer
A WellDrive customer, who is a prominent operator working in the Eagle Ford, was interested in selling their wells to another operator, who also happened to be a WellDrive customer. This would have created a ton of work for any operator. However, with WellDrive, all the data was already in a secure, easily accessible location for the potential new owner to view.

Drilling: The driving need for well information integration
Encino Energy‘s Operations Geology Manager, Randy Daniels, reported, “we utilized WellDrive to help us not only move [a thousand wells worth of data] from Chesapeake’s folder structure into our folder structure but also verify that the data was actually there, it was correct, it was accurate, it was labeled correctly… to help us make some of the best operational decisions early on.”

Spending too much time compiling data from multiple sources?
Being a non-operating partner involves receiving data from several operating partners. This includes data flowing in through various systems, all of which are organized differently. Prior to adopting WellDrive, Red Wolf Natural Resources had a difficult and time-consuming process of compiling reports from various sources.
