Bridging the gap between strategic planning and engineering.
Increasingly, the focus of risk management is not only on minimizing the negative consequences of uncertain events, but on truly providing competitive advantage. However, neither threats nor opportunities can be effectively identified and assessed without good quality market intelligence. As companies increasingly integrate their corporate risk, strategy and finance decisions, they are finding that corporate risk identification and assessment is only as good as the data in their system.
For executives and corporate risk managers alike, this book demonstrates how strategic planning, finance and risk management can use the tools and techniques developed by industrial market researchers to gain adequate assurance, better corporate governance, and increased value for shareholders.
