Johnson, BSME, University of Tennessee, now retired, worked for Schlumberger Well Services for more than 25 years, serving for more than 8 years as a Senior Sales Engineer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Johnson is a registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma, an active member of SPWLA and SPE, and has published technical papers on log interpretation.
Kathryne E. Pile is a business process analyst for Williams Communications in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to working for Williams, she served as editorial director for PennWell Books and was a technical writing instructor at The University of Tulsa. She continues to provide technical editing service on a consultant basis for professional societies such as the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
