Job Summary: Follows the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor in all tasks related to maintenance repair and other programs, performing duties either personally or through the assistance of other maintenance personnel. Provides support to assigned areas of the manufacturing facility Creates and maintains electronic records of present and past work orders Changes machine equipment windows Fixes air and coolant leaks Makes machine turret adjustments and belt changes on CNC machines Performs non-CNC test table work May perform electronic circuit diagnosis Performs routine inspections, consumable parts replacement, reactive and preventative maintenance from assigned work orders Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: 1 - 2 years' experience preferred Mechanical experience and/or background preferred Working knowledge of CNC machines and CNC control experience preferred Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints Working knowledge of micrometers, pneumatic, hydraulic, electricity, AC/DC voltage & amp, resistance, multimeter/current meter and lubrication systems Possess troubleshooting, problem solving and investigative skills Ability to work in solitary environment and complete tasks on time without supervision Basic computer skills Must have valid driver's license and clean MVR Must pass background check and drug screen Core Competencies: Ensures Accountability – Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments. Supervisory Responsibilities: No Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Work Environment: Manufacturing environment – PPE required in specific areas Potential proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical currents, oils and chemicals Potential exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation Extreme temperatures for more than an hour possible Consistently elevated noise levels in work area Frequently required to work in crawl spaces, confined spaces, shafts and elevated work areas in excess of 4 feet Physical Requirements: Repetitive use of hands Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs. Essential Job Functions: Contributes to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve supplier operational performance Participates in new business init read more... atives and projects, reviews and communicates the impact on Supplier Quality activities Supports new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards Leads supplier development strategy, designing the metrics for the function and supplier performance Monitors supplier performance ensuring quality manufacturing processes are relevant and effective Supports and, when needed, conducts supplier audits to improve process standardization and eliminate waste Identifies root cause of problems and delays/expedites corrective actions Drives reduction in operational risk through formalized analysis methods such as FMEA/FMECA and risk management Researches and implements strategies to support lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement Assures proper inspection and test plans are established and deployed to assure supplier provided product or service meets pre-defined requirements Supports simplification of the quality process (ITPs, NDE/NDTs, AVL qualification, etc.) and qualifies additional specialty service providers Reports supplier performance and quality to management Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member Assuring compliance and assisting to confirm adherence to the Kimray Quality Management System, assuring that internal and external standards and requirements are achieved Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals Manages, coaches and develops a high performing Supplier Quality team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements Sets department objectives/KPIs and reviews and assesses ongoing performance of direct reports Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product requirements Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum 3 years in a Supplier Quality Management role required Experience developing/managing mature quality systems for industries such as automotive, aerospace or top-tier oilfield manufacturing preferred Knowledge of formal methods to identify root causes of problems and identify process and design improvements to further drive quality assurance Greenbelt/Blackbelt, CQE, CQM, CSQM, or other ASQ, certifications preferred Knowledge of RCFA & FMEA/FMECA methods preferred CMM programming/operation preferred Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills Demonstrated PC proficiency Ability to manage, develop and support multiple employees Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR Must pass background check and drug screen Core Competencies: Action Oriented – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
